Who's Bringing What Back to the app

The ground rules, or

Terms of use.

Last updated 7 September 2026

Who's Bringing What is a free tool for sharing a packing list with the people you're travelling with. By using it you agree to the terms below. They're short, because the site is simple.

The short version

Use it for planning trips. Be decent to the people on your list. Don't rely on it as your only copy of anything important. Check official sources before you travel. That's most of it.

Using the service

Anyone can create a trip or join one with a link or code. You must be at least 13 to use the site, and if you're under 18 you should have a parent or guardian's OK. You agree not to use the site for anything unlawful, to harass or impersonate others, to post material you don't have the right to share, or to interfere with how the site runs (scraping, probing for weaknesses, flooding it with requests, and so on).

Your content

Everything you add to a trip — item names, notes, chat messages, the names people enter — stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the other people on that trip, which is the only reason we hold it. You're responsible for what you post, and the person who created a trip can remove people or delete the whole trip at any time.

Sharing links

A trip's link and code are the only key to it. Anyone who has them can see and edit the list, so share them only with the people who should be on the trip. If a link gets out, the trip's creator can delete the trip and start a new one.

Accounts

You don't need an account to join a trip. Trip creators may optionally sign in with Google so their trips follow them between devices. You're responsible for keeping that Google account secure. We may limit how many trips a free account can create.

Free, coffees and shop links

The site is free to use. If you buy us a coffee through Ko-fi, that's a voluntary gift, not a purchase of anything, and it isn't refundable through us — Ko-fi's own terms apply. Some "Find" links go to online shops such as Amazon; if you buy something through one of those links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don't sell those products and aren't responsible for them.

Weather, visas and travel information

The weather, entry-requirement and packing suggestions on the site come from public data sources and general guidance. They're there to help you pack, not to tell you what's legally required. Visa rules, baggage allowances and conditions change without warning, so always confirm with the airline, the destination's government and your own official sources before you travel. We're not liable if that information turns out to be wrong or out of date.

Availability

This is a small, independent site. We'll do our best to keep it running and to keep your trips safe, but it's provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will always be up, be free of errors, or that your data will never be lost. Keep your own copy (the print or PDF button is there for that) of anything you can't afford to lose.

Liability

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. Beyond that, to the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage — including a missed flight, a forgotten passport or an overweight bag — that comes from using, or not being able to use, the site.

Ending or changing things

You can stop using the site at any time, and a trip's creator can delete the trip. We can suspend or remove trips or people that break these terms, and we can change or shut down features as the site develops. We may update these terms; if we do, the date at the top changes and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute will be handled in Australian courts.
